Grocery bags (plastic and paper) cost a few cents. This practice keeps the
cost of grocery bags from other products and encourages the use of old grocery
bags. A nice alternative is to take one of the empty boxes and put your
grocery in it. |
| Money |
It is very important to remember that you can not pay with checks or credit
cards. Cash and ATM/debid cards are accepted. One can even make cash
withdrawl from your ATM card while paying for your groceries. |
| Shopping Carts |
A 25 cent deposit is needed to utilize a shopping cart. The 25 cents are
refunded when the shopping cart is returned to its proper place. |
| Telephone |
Aldi does not list their phones in the phone book because of the small staff
they usually have. Unlisted phones prevents high phone traffic and the need
to employ another person to answer the phone which would drive the prices
up. Unfortunately, this also makes it more difficult to find an Aldi store.
