I have ... first, the old choose-a-size paper towels are now Boulder instead of Clarissa, and are plain white. Darn - I used to like the pattern with the birdhouses and garden tools - it matched my Pfaltzgraff Naturewood dinnerware. I've seen canned black beans under both the La Mas Rica and Dakota's names, and someof the Rainfresh health & beauty items have different brand names now, too. The Fruit Dazzle has a new label, as does the Fine Feline catfood. The Fine Feline cat litter is now sold in cardboard packages instead of plastic.
The last time I noticed something like this was when "Dish Wish" became "Reeva."
I also heard my first Aldi radio ad yesterday, although they have been sponsoring traffic reports for a while now. |

| I noticed that the ketchup bottle got redesigned. It now has less ketchup and cost a little more. |

| Not happy with the decreased quantity and increased pricing of toilet paper, tissues and paper towels. I use to buy all those products exclusively at Aldi but now i must shop around. Also, the 2x laundry detergent is questionable and i haven't seen any reviews on here about it. |

Some of my fellow Weight Watchers meeting attendees were discussing the fact that ALDI's prices have gotten higher ... but then, so have everybody else's. We also noted that some stores sell the same items for different prices - usually milk and produce, which I suppose use local suppliers.
I also saw my first ALDI TV commercial yesterday, while I was in the waiting room of my husband's doctor's office. I guess ALDI isn't a "best-kept secret" anymore.
The cashier at my local store says she thinks they're building more stores here in MD. |
